Living Room Carpets
The living room is the home's main space, both as a representative area and as a family gathering place. That's why living room carpets are the focus of much attention. The carpet is today's substitute for the former family fireplace, where family and guests gather on the carpet, on which soft furnishings are arranged.
The requirements of a carpet as an interior design object can be different. In one case, the carpet may be an exceptional artistic accent with a custom-made pattern or even a specific irregular shape designed specifically for the interior. In other cases, if the interior is already rich in detail, a calm carpet is needed, even if it is monochrome, but with an ideal colour match. In the third case, if the style is minimalist or japandi, a wide range of undyed natural wool yarns will help.
In living room interiors, a few key carpet aspects are essential:
The carpet needs to be the ideal size to maintain balance and not create imbalances. Sometimes carpets are placed next to sofas or armchairs, sometimes under all upholstered furniture - so it's the large carpet sizes that are needed.
The colour scheme of the living room carpet is particularly important, as is its harmony with all the details of the environment.
The carpet must be of high quality, made of natural materials and of the right thickness for optimum care.
The shape of the carpet: it can be woven in any shape - from rectangular, circular or oval to completely unexpected solutions such as a drop, a geometric composition or an irregular puddle.
